Streamers & Content Creators
We welcome all those that wish to share their adventures in Verra. You will find yourself in good company as there are several people within our ranks that plan to stream or create content for Ashes of Creation and also produce content for other games within our overall community.
We must be vigilant in the protection of guild assets and our members. Streaming any live event that could be countered will not be allowed. This is a zero tolerance policy. I would recommend capturing the run and heavily editing it after the fact. For example trade runs will need to be protected even after the fact as someone can use the video to figure out the routes and set up future counters or copy them making them less effective. Blocking out maps and other key details will be needed before releasing that content. If it becomes an ongoing issue we will establish a team to monitor and review content that could harm the guild.
You may be asked to not stream or capture raids /dungeons/exploration and other content that may not be well known (mainly in the early days). The advantages that we have will be limited and should be protected within the guild. We all understand the tendency of people looking to take advantage of easily gained information and the flood that is sure to follow. There will be groups actively stream sniping and we do not want to be on the receiving end of that. Unless we purposely set a trap to bring in some content or create a distraction.
You will be asked to block out or not record all guild meetings, in game and discord discussions and voice communications in our general voice channels. Channels will be established for you to stream in and for guild members to join you on stream if you wish. Guild information should not be discussed in these channels.
This topic may be contentious but we are going to ask that all creators not use their platform to publicly shame or call out anyone within our guild, or the Ashes of Creation community as whole. Our relations both within the guild and with the outside community will be handled off stream. If we are actively battling a guild and you capture the fight you are expected to follow the same rules as the guild code of conduct. We don’t need to trash talk, let the video speak for itself. If we are beat, use it as a learning opportunity and as a tool to grow.
We welcome and encourage you to plug the guild and invite people to join us. We appreciate the outreach and publicity. We also understand if you wish not to do this to protect your brand and in game identity. I assume everyone will have their own approach to this.
