π Reputation
ποΈ Social Interactions & Diplomacy
- Forming strategic alliances and honoring agreements can improve your reputation among peers and factions
- Acts of betrayal or breaking treaties are tracked and can lead to significant reputation penalties
- Engagement in the Landsraad and other political bodies influences your reputation, with decisions impacting both personal and factional standings
- Completing a Landsraad contract against your factionβs wishes may boost your Landsraad influence while hurting your faction loyalty
π΄ Combat Behaviors
- The game tracks not just whether you kill another player, but where, why, and whom you kill
- Killing players from your own faction or breaking declared truces in PvP zones may still be flagged and penalized by faction systems
- Some PvP actions are only penalized if theyβre βseenβ by faction NPCs, surveillance systems, or players who then report or react. That means ambushing someone in the open desert may have no consequence, while attacking near a faction node could trigger penalties.
- The game world is divided into various zones, each with its own rules regarding player interactions and PvP engagements:
- Faction-Controlled Zones: These areas are under the jurisdiction of major factions. PvP is typically restricted here, and aggressive actions may lead to reputation penalties or other consequences
- Lawless Zones: Regions where traditional laws and faction controls are absent. PvP is unrestricted, and players can engage freely without immediate repercussions
- Neutral or Contested Zones: Areas where control is disputed or neutral. PvP rules may vary depending on current events, faction influence, or player actions
π Addictions
- Regular consumption of spice grants abilities but excessive use can lead to addiction, which is tracked and affects reputation
- Signs of addiction, such as the "Eyes of Ibad" (blue eyes) are visible indicators that can influence how NPCs and factions perceive you
ποΈ Crafting Activities
- Fair trading and fulfilling contracts can bolster your reputation, while deceitful practices may harm it
- Producing high-quality goods contributes positively, whereas substandard items can have the opposite effect
ποΈ Base Building and Territory Control
- Building in prohibited zones or encroaching on faction territories can negatively impact your standing
- Successfully defending your base against raids may enhance your reputation, showcasing strength and resilience
