High Effort, High Reward
Unhinged recognizes and rewards effort. If you're someone who is consistently available & prepared, someone who takes their assignments seriously, and etc, then you will be rewarded. The following rewards (if requirements are met) apply and are on top of the standard loot rules.
Requirements
80% availability
This includes our guild raid nights: Thursdays and Sundays at 7 PM server
- Based on the last 4 weeks
- Signup data collected when rosters post (Wed and Sat evenings) - if you sign up late or we have to chase you, no credit
- Communicate absences in advance (vacation, etc.) to stay eligible
- e.g., Someone always signed up for both Thur and Sun but went on safari for a month, told us months in advance, received credit for both while away
- Last minute cancellations count as not signing up for the raid
- A no-show without a very good reason counts as immediate disqualification until it falls off the rolling attendance data
80% reliability in assigned tasks
- Executing tasks reliably without constant reminders
- Examples of assignments include Spirit of the Alpha, Thunderclap, Demo Shout, Curses, Banishes, Dispels, Decursing, Power Infusion, Interrupts, Suppression Room tasks, and etc
Use comms appropriately
- Clear when needed
- Keep strategy suggestions to raid chat unless called upon
- Generally, help keep order & velocity in the raid
World buffs
- Consistently bringing 3+ world buffs
- Qualifying buffs: Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer, Warchief's Blessing, Songflower Serenade, Spirit of Zandalar, Dire Maul buffs, and the Darkmoon Faire
- Will be verified via spot-checks, and Warcraft Logs, to be sure you have them when we call for an un-boon.
- We acknowledge that buffs may be lost due to Unfortunate Events (tm).
Consumables
Required for all pulls
- A flask (appropriate for your class & role)
- ex. Flask of Titans, Supreme Power, Distilled Wisdom (and in some cases Chromatic)
- A weapon buff
- ex. Rogue poisons, sharpening stones, weapon oils
- Hunters!
- All hunters should bring enough green ammo (17.5+ dps) for the evening; even melee hunters may be asked to go ranged on certain pulls
- Duel wield melee hunters should also bring sharpening stones for their off hand
- All always-required consumes, one should bring enough to last the entire evening (up to 3 hours)
Required for non-learning pulls
- All of the above plus two additional consumes appropriate for your class; pick two from:
- Highest tier food, elixiers, etc
- Bring enough of these consumables to cover at least five (5) pulls!
Accelerated Eligibility for New Raiders
We want to get great new friends to a point they're feeling rewarded for their time as quickly as possible while protecting ourselves from the worst that gaming has to offer. Here's how we let newcomers (willing to put in the effort) on-board onto the system as fast as possible:
- New recruits can now qualify for an accelerated HR if they maintain 100% attendance on both raid nights (Thursday and Sunday) for their first two full lockout weeks, while meeting all other HEHR requirements. This means they can lock in their first HR as early as their third lockout week.
- In weeks three and four, new members must continue to show 100% attendance on both raid nights and meet all other HEHR qualifications to keep this accelerated eligibility.
- After four full weeks of meeting all standards, attendance and availability expectations for new recruits will ease to 80%, like other guild members.
Rewards
One hard reserve for the current tier of content!
- Select an item and stick to it until it's won
- If you win your HR and remain eligible, you pick a new HR the following week
- If there are multiple HRs on the same item, priority is determined by earliest reservation lockout, and if a tie still exist, there will be a roll
- Items must be appropriate for your main character and main spec, and must be approved by guild leadership
- You can reserve an item from the last tier of content if it's BiS for your main character and main spec in the current phase (ex, Band of Accuria in P5 for many physical DPS)
What if I want to change?
Given the fast pace and evolving nature of Season of Discovery, we’re adding a bit of flexibility to the hard reserve (HR) process to allow for those inevitable BiS changes. Here’s how it works:
- Submit your intent to change your HR.
- Your current HR is removed immediately.
- Wait one lockout week without an HR.
- Your new HR will take effect the following lockout week.
Yes, it’s a bit of a gamble — there’s always a chance that coveted item could drop during your wait! This keeps things fair for everyone while giving some flexibility for those who need to reprioritize.
Why We're Doing This
Unhinged is a unified guild composed of exactly one team. By rewarding those who consistently demonstrate availability, preparedness, and attention to assigned tasks, we ensure that powerful items have the maximum impact on our raids. This approach:
- Enhances raid performance
- Accelerates gear progression
- Incentivizes commitment
- Directly rewards that commitment
- And still indirectly rewards more casual playstyles!
Nudging the gear curve such that we're rewarding dedication helps us to clear content more efficiently. As we clear content faster, all members benefit from increased loot opportunities. As all members gear quickly, we unlock the ability to split into more raid teams and accelerate gear acquisition even more! So... with some weighted distribution now, we unlock far more rewards in totality.
