⚒️ Crafting Bases & Vehicles
📝 Crafting Recipes
- There are two types of crafting:
- A Blueprint represents a pre-made construction plan used for building (not for learning)
- A Holographic Blueprint is used during layout planning and projects a blueprint. It allows you or someone else to complete the construction with new materials
- A Crafting Blueprint is acquired through loot and rewards, it grants the ability to craft a specific item or vehicle for one-time use
- A Schematic teaches you how to make an item and it unlocks a crafting recipe
- A Researchable Schematic unlocks a system within your tech-tree (that can have sub-parts) with the use of intel points found from missions on the map
- A Loot Schematic unlocks a system without the need for intel points, or it unlocks a single item without the need for intel points
- Functionally, a one-time Blueprint and a one-time Schematic is considered the same. They both don’t use intel points and they are acquired through looting or rewards

⚠️When in the Deep Desert, it’s preferable that you already have some Holographic Blueprints saved, so that you do not spend a lot of time designing! Terrain compatibility absolutely matters when you move or reuse a saved base design. The terrain does not need to be identical, but it must be compatible
🔨 Handheld Crafting Tools
- A Salvage Power Pack allows you to carry energy to remote locations for things like turrets or temporary crafting stations and it can be recharged or refueled when depleted
🏠 Shields & Land-Claims
- A Sub-Fief Console is permanently placed on the ground to claim land so that you can pay taxes and start constructing a base
- A standard Sub-Fief Console only requires fuel and no taxes. While an Advanced Sub-Fief Console requires to pay 2000 Solari every two days
- The sub-fief console also generates a shield for your base that serves as protection from storms and other players
- The sub-fief console is also where you can find the menu to set access controls for your entire base
- If the energy sources that power your base are exhausted, the shields will turn-off and your base will become vulnerable
- Taxes will become gradually more expensive as your base grows in size
🔋 Energy Generators
- Fuel-Powered generators are the main source of power for a base
- Bases can also use two other types of passive energy sources such as Solar Panels and Wind Turbines
Energy Source |
Recharge Method |
Solar Panel |
Renewable, passive energy only during daylight hours where sun is exposed |
Wind Turbine |
Renewable, passive energy only on elevations or open spaces |
Fuel-Powered Generator |
Fuel Canisters or equivalent hydrocarbon resource |
Wind Traps |
Collects water from the environment over time |
⚙️ Machinery & Workstations
- Three types of Fabricators exist. One for all-purpose items, one for weapons and another for vehicles
- Fuel-Powered Generators are crucial for powering high-tech items, such as base shields, turrets, or any energy-dependent crafting stations
Station Name |
Crafting Focus |
Output |
General Fabricator |
All-purpose crafting |
Basic gear, components, tools |
Armor Station |
Armor and wearable crafting |
Light, medium, and heavy armor pieces; armor modifications |
Blood Purifier |
Water production |
Refines harvested blood into potable water |
Weapons Fabricator |
Weapons and ammunition |
Firearm parts, ammo, ranged mods |
Vehicle Fabricator |
Vehicle assembly |
Vehicle chassis, suspensors, engines |
Fuel-Powered Generator |
Provides power to base structures and stations |
Essential for operating advanced crafting stations & shields |
Chemical Refinery |
Chemical synthesis |
Lubricant, silicon blocks, fuel cells, cobalt paste |
Ore Refinery |
Ore processing |
Converts mined ore into usable metals like copper, steel |
Research Lab |
Tech progression via schematics & unlocks |
Unlocks new recipes via intel; central to tech tree advancement |
Advanced Vehicle Fabricator |
Advanced Vehicle assembly |
Advanced vehicles like Buggies or Ornithopters |
Survival Fabricator |
Survival products |
Products for survival, exploration and mining |
Fremen Deathstill |
Water collection from a corpse |
Capable of extracting much more water from a corpse |
Garment Fabricator |
Advanced Attire |
From Stillsuits to powerful armor |
Storage Units |
Stores crafted items and resources |
Varying capacities; essential for inventory management |
🚚 Vehicles
- When crafting a vehicle, you are technically producing its components first from a list (if you have the materials) and then assembling them after, using the Welding Torch
⚠️Be aware of your guild’s vehicle needs. Each module takes time to build or farm. Store batches of materials in advance or buy them from the exchange
